College Leadership
̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Community College, the largest community college in the state of Mississippi, is a comprehensive educational institution, accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ serves approximately 32,000 students in academic, career/technical, workforce, secondary and adult education programs each year. Since 1917, ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ has provided quality educational programs that are convenient and affordable. With six locations, the college draws students from every county in Mississippi and ranks as the fourth largest institution of higher learning in thestate.
Board of Trustees
The ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Community College Board of Trustees blends expertise, experience and enthusiasm that benefit the students and communities served by ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Community College. The board is comprised of members appointed by the boards of supervisors in ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾, Rankin, Warren and Copiah counties; superintendents of ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾, Rankin, Warren, Claiborne and Copiah county school districts, and one at- large member appointed by the board.
College President
Stephen (Steve) Vacik is the seventh President of ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Community College. Dr. Vacik came to ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Community College in 2020, and has nearly 25 years of experience working in various roles with community colleges in four states. Dr. Vacik is passionate about the importance of developing and nurturing the relationship between the community, business and industry, and the college.
