Sustainability
Services
In higher education, sustainability typically refers to faculty, staff, and students creating a culture that strives to reduce their impact on the environment in many different ways. At ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ CC, we have reduced our energy consumption to not only be better stewards of taxpayer dollars but also to reduce our greenhouse emissions. We also strive to recycle in order to reduce our waste that ends up in landfills.
We are committed to creating a more sustainable environment through various college initiatives. In 2008, the college implemented a comprehensive energy management program. Recycling was placed under this department in 2013 resulting in the newly established Office of Sustainability. This department is accountable for energy management, recycling, and other practices related to sustainability efforts.
