High school seniors and their parents are invited to get a taste of what ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Community College is all about at Thursday Night Lights on Sept. 28 at the Raymond Campus.

At the 2016 edition of Thursday Night Lights, attendees gather to watch the Eagle band, Hi-Steppers and cheerleaders perform.

The Thursday Night Lights tailgating recruiting event will be in conjunction with the ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Eagles football game against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at Gene Murphy Field at Joe Renfroe Stadium. The game begins at 6:30 p.m.

Students and their parents will be treated to a free tailgate meal, see the ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Eagle band and Hi-Steppers and learn about scholarships, enrolling, residence halls and programs running the gamut of academic and career-technical as well as opportunities for student involvement.

̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Community College is celebrating its 100th year of Community Inspired Service in 2017. ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ opened in September 1917 first as an agricultural high school and admitted college students for the first time in 1922, with the first class graduating in 1927.
