UTICA – The Alpha Beta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at ̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Community College’s Utica Campus has inducted new members for fall 2018.

̨Íå²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Community College’s Utica Campus’ Alpha Beta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa welcomes new members during the Nov. 8 ceremony. They are, from left, co-advisers Apryl Trimble and Denise Williams, both of Utica, Jasmine Ivory of Natchez, Cynthia Perry of Port Gibson, Elijah Brown of Utica, Keymyria Thomas of Jackson, Alexis Hayes of Yazoo City and co-adviser Beverly Trimble, also of Utica.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) serves to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through honors, leadership and service programming.

The Nov. 8 ceremony paid homage to honorary members and made way for 10 new members.

New members include Elijah Brown, Dasysa Butler, Takeaslynn Gardner, Alexis Hayes, Jasmine Ivory, Cynthia Perry, Keymyria Thomas, Lakenya Travis, Shamarwin Travis, and Brianna Williams.

Phi Theta Kappa has more than two million members in more than 1250 chapters worldwide.
